Question Using current O2 contract SIM in PAYG iPhone?

I currently have an 18-month, Ł35 a month O2 contract that gives me 600 minutes, unlim. texts and unlim. Web. They also supplied me with a Samsung I8510/INNOV8 and an additional 8 GB memory card (taking the phone up to 16 GB).

Would I have any problems with putting that SIM card in the iPhone and using it all that way? Will I be able to access the store etc. and everything as normal?

there should be no problem. but i have to ask, did you get the iphone (unsure which version your on about) from a friend for example and buy a pay&go o2 sim card, and then you've gone and bought a samsung on contract,

if those are the correct details then you should be fine, cos all samsungs are 3g so the sim card will be fine in the iphone, and if you've got an unlimited web access like you say then you should also be fine.

i'm not sure about using "the Cloud" wifi networks though, i'm pretty sure thats simply an iphone thing!

let me know exactly what your story is etc and i'll assist in anyway possible

I would be buying the 16 GB iPhone 3G from O2 (Ł400).

I am worried that if I sell the I8510 on eBay UK and something goes wrong with the handset, the buyer won't be able to take it back to Carphone Warehouse. Or is this not my problem? Not sure.

well if you've bought it then you have a warranty with it, when you sell the phone its the same a washing machine etc.. it comes with a 3year warranty etc..

you just give it to the person and then if he has snags he'll be ok..?
