This is a discussion on Safari vs. Firefox within the iMac forums, part of the Apple Hardware and Software category; what are your thoughts, pros, and cons?...
Safari
Firefox
what are your thoughts, pros, and cons?
I prefer Firefox because I am a plug-in junkie.

Glad I'm not a fanboy....
I really like Firefox. I just downloaded Safari for the PC, literally... not even 5 minutes ago, using it right now. So far the only reason I've found to like Firefox more is the fact that it remembers usernames/passwords. But I really like the overall look of Safari, pretty sure I'm sticking to it.

Safari for me. I just like t he look and feel better.
The one with the most toys when he dies WINS.
Internet Explorer, of course!
Kidding.
Safari, but only because I'm using OS X. If you're using a PC, you should most definitely use Firefox, but for me, Safari is the only way.
I have no need for a ton of plugins. Using Safari, I have two plugins installed; Safari AdBlock, and ad blocker, and Inquisitor, and spotlight-like add-on for Google searching form the toolbar. Other than that, Safari includes everything I need in a browser. It's simple, has a nice, clean UI, and is very easy to use.
Firefox - even on a Mac - faster and nicer UI, for my taste ...
Firefox. ........
I agree with John. Since I'm using windows I love firefox but I'm sure Safari is great on mac. (I know safari is on windows too but I heard it sucks).
I love FF3 because the password management is amazing (can delete individual passwords from each site), the magic address bar, and of course all the modifications

I made a java game, tell me what you think.
I'm a new Mac and iMac user, only about a month now. I think I prefer Safari, but the one thing I wish it had was the "new tab" button on the menu bar. Yeah, I know I can do the Command T thing, but I'm such a mouse person.
