Im not a nerd that goes around randomly googling the history and facts of safari, firefox, or netscape. When I posted my comment noone had mentioned or posted yet the facts of these browsers

sooo..."get your facts straight"

Overall, Firefox is better, in my opinion (features, addons, ease of backing up and restoring profiles, using multiple versions on the same computer), but I love Safari's faster javascript. I know that comes from webkit, and I'd use another webkit-powered browser if I could find one... until then, Safari is the fast path to any javascript-heavy site I use. (One of them is my game, which has a part of the game that relies quite a bit on how fast your browser's javascript engine can open and close an XmlHttpRequest connection)

I use Safari on my windows laptop, and when I get my first mac (in a few months hopefully ) I will still use Safari. I have tried firefox, it is nice, definitely prefer it over internet explorer, but I think Safari has a perfect UI. It is nice, clean, and simple. On top of that, it remembers all of my usernames and passwords (except for myspace, but I think myspace has disabled the password remember-er [is that a word?] due to all the account hacking) so I have no clue why some people think that Safari doesn't remember your passwords. I can even delete them for certain websites if I choose to.

Then again, I am pretty much an Apple fan boy anyways =]

While I currently still prefer Safari (and will even more when Safari 4 comes out, for it contains the ability to turn webpages into native apps) but I'm going to say that Google's Chrome is going to turn into my default browser.

firefox is faster, more efficient, and more fully-featured on the Windows platform. Plus I'm addicted to full page zooming.

I'm really annoyed iRovr went Safari-only... I have to keep Safari on the desktop just for that now.
