Default got me a Mac!

and i love it! I have one question. is there a way to transfer my iphone contacts to my Mac? I would hate to add all that in manually. Also, is there anything I should know (importance) about this Mac? I plan on keeping this thang for many more years an want it as good as new 5 years from now. I just invested tons of money on this will little money in my pocket and need to know. thanks in advance.

You can do all that using iTunes.

When you connect your iPhone to iTunes, look for a tab that says "Contacts" and press "Sync". This should sync your contacts to the Address Book on you Mac.

When you connect your phone, iPhoto automatically opens. You can import photos you want from your iPhone on to your Mac.

Movies and videos can only be transferred using iTunes the same way as contacts.

But, be careful as probably your iPhone has been synced by another computer before, you might not be able to also sync it with your Mac without erasing it completely first, so back it up before hand on both your Mac and the PC you synced with it first (if you still have it).

Congrats on the new iMac! They are lovely machines and I'd love to get one myself!

Quick question - is the computer you used previously to sync your iPhone a Mac as well? Or are you switching from a PC?
