Though then Apple or AT&T just do the most annoying things to their customers that pay so much money. Like blocking apps like Google Voice though they let in Apps like "Shake and kill the baby". All that stuff as pissed me off though then just this day I've had two phone calls be dropped, (which ya is probably AT&Ts fault for that one) got kicked out of safari. I reboot my phone for like the fourth time this week. And now it cannot connect to the app store or safari though it can make calls and txt. And yes I've done a clean restore and all that stuff. Help would be nice though I'm more interested in why they can't just make the phone work after what 3 years?
I just scanned through your thread but I haven't seen you mention how long you've had your phone.
I gotta say, before I got my first cell 7 1/2 years ago, I made certain that the provider I chose had good enough coverage where I worked, where I live, and where I would most likely travel, for pleasure and for the job.
With that settled, I was able to pick ATT but Verizon a close second.
It doesn't sound like you chose a good carrier for your "neighborhood".
This 3GS is my fourth cellphone. I joined this forum months before I switched from my Moto Q9h. I researched that phone almost as long as I researched the iPhone.
I'm a geek, so I read forums all the time but I would never spend this kind of money before careful research. I can only hope your phone is "young enough" to have Apple replace it as defective. No harm intended.
Good luck guy!
