Why can't I view forwarded emails with yahoo?

I have a friend that sends me several email forwards a day that usually consists of funny cartoons, pictures, and such. I'm never able to view them, though, on my iPhone via my yahoo email account. I always figured it was an iphone limitation until today. I forwarded a few of the emails (from my PC) to my other gmail account and I was able to view everything just fine.

So why can't I view these emails from my yahoo account?

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked both email setting on the iPhone and on yahoo and nothing seems to be blocking anything. If I open these emails on my PC they seem to work fine. I've also tried logging into yahoo mail via the safarri browser and cant see anything that way either.
