Default Well color me stupid.... :D

So, I'm looking at the phone today and was wondering what the date was.

It was only after I pushed the calendar button that I noticed that right there on the button, it said "Monday - 30"

How freakin' cool is that?

(Ok..so sue me, I'm a little slow at times)

After having the phone for a few weeks, I just recently noticed that myself!

But then I thought 'what if I forgot what month it is?'

That is a neat little feature of the calendar. Makes it quick to find out what the date is. Now what I wanna know is why couldn't they have done that with the weather icon. I know that it would be harder to do because of the possibilty of having different places but if there was a default setting you could make or use the first city on the list, it would be great to see the to without having to click the button.

woofus is a doofus and iFunGirl must be a blonde Just joking folks!! I do much dumber stuff than that, absolutely destroying the dumbometer on occasion. My younger brother (age 61) just called and asked me a vital iPhone question --- said -- (after having it 3 weeks) hey what's that little blue E thingy that keeps popping up at the top?????!!!!! I was not gentle with him!!!!!!

It's always neat to find out something new about a gadget after having it for a while. It makes you love it even more!

Good for the calender, but how about the weather?

Mine stays at 73 on the icon!

I assume that a modded calender icon does not do the same? Anyone with new icons have any idea how to link the icon with the actual date?

now that would be cool!

EDIT: Im looking through the pictures of people's mods, it seems like the calender icon still shows the current date (date of post matches date on calender icon). SWEET

I feel alot better about myself now that others have done the same thing. I was thinking wow thats dumb that they dont have the date right there on the home screen, then realised it was litteraly right under my finger.

Hmmm. Something must be wrong with my phone. Mine doesn't say "Monday the 30th" on it. It says Wed the 1st.

Dangit. Another iPhone bricked ...
