Default Suggestions for heat please

A little history. I am not allowed to bring my personal cell phone into work, so I have to leave it in my car. I live in Florida and we have been experiencing temperatures from 95°F to 98°F with heat indices anywhere from 105°F to 110°F. I put my cell phone in the console box between the drivers and passengers seat, last friday when I came out my phone had a message on it stating iPhone needed to cool down before it could be used. I started wrapping my phone in a large microfiber cloth and that helped all week. I got the same message today.

Anyone have any suggestions? I thought about a small igloo cooler with one of those frozen gel blocks and putting my phone in that, but I'm concerned about condensation and humidity.

That is not good. I think a cool, dry place is in order.

The center console will build up heat. I would suggest something white that is insulated if possible; I'd go with the cooler but with NO ice in it.

Well do you need your phone during the day? because the most logical answer would be to just leave it at your nice cool house during the day. That is unless you need it during lunch breaks or right after work.

put it underneath the seat or somewhere in the shade. Im in TX and its been that or worse for a few weeks and I never have gotten that message. Just keep it in the shade or get your windows tinted if they are not.

I dont get why you would take it to work just to leave it in the car? Just leave it at home. Failing that, i guess the coolest place would be either under a seat or in the trunk

Heat is damaging, but cold is horrible for a lithium polymer battery.

Here's my question to the OP:
Why can you not just turn on Airplane mode and bring it in with you? I would suspect that the issue is security, and more about the camera function than anything else, but leaving your phone in the car is really not a good option.
Here is the only thing I can think of as a short term solution:
Get a small cooler and one of those ice packs that you can re-freeze and reuse. put the icepack in the bottom of the cooler. put a folded towel over it so there are 2-3 inches of towel. Put your phone in a ziplock baggie that is only partially closed (if you seal it, it could for condensation)and put it ontop of the towel and close the lid. Keep the cooler out of direct sunlight. It should keep the phone in the normal operating temps during the day.

I love when employers try to run your life for you. They are getting real good at telling you what you are and what you are not allowed to do. I just saw an advertisement on TV for a new car cover that is supposed to keep your car cool. It comes with some freebies that are kinda like insulated bags to keep things from getting too hot or too cold. I will link if I find it for you.

Edit: here is a link to the product similar to what I saw on tv. It doesn't come with the bags, but I would bet it would keep your interior cool enough to not overheat your phone. Link here
