Default REALLY bad night!!

I have the 1.1.1 jailbroken w/ lots of apps and it was running fine.
After much research I decided to upgrade to the 1.1.3 so after backing up on itunes, off I went.
I started at 8:30pm last night. I finally gave up at 5:30am this morning!

I am really frustrated that I lost my pics which I took with my daughter at CES.

Why did I lose them? How did I screw that up?

Also, I upgraded to 1.1.2 then had to downgrade back to 1.1.1 to jailbreak?
Anyways I finally got the 1.1.1 back but didn't have phone service.

Now I have a 1.1.2, no apps, no pics except what was in my pc but none taken with my phone.

Very frustrated and extremely tired. I would just be satisfied if I had my 1.1.1 back with the apps.

Thank-you for any help...I'll try to stay awake on the job today to read.

Its always a good idea to back your photos up. Take them off the camera and put them in a folder on your computer. And then you should back up that file so if anything happens to it you have a backup!! Play around with 1.1.3 while you are getting over the loss of your pictures. I think you will start to like it, but you will still want to get those 3rdP Apps back on there.

BTW after I have backed up my pictures from the iPhone to the computer, I sync that folder back to my iPhone so I still have the pictures. They are just not in the camera roll anymore.

Did you use Win SC or what to save them to a folder?

Thanks for the help.

Also why when I finally got 1.1.1 back did I not have service as a phone?

because your baseband is still at 04.02.13, the 1.1.2 baseband.

you will need to add I.unlock.no to your installer sources.

after that, go to unlocking tools, and download and install baseband downgrader.

when it is done, your baseband will be at 03.14.08
after that, back your things and photos up,

and restore to 1.1.1 again.

you will have service again.

If you are on a PC and you connect your phone, you should be able to double click on "My Computer" on your desktop and at the bottom of your drives list you will see "Apple iPhone". If you double click on this it will open to a list of your images you took with your camera and you can drag them onto your computer into a folder of your choosing.

The problem is I'm stuck on 1.1.2 with no jailbreak capabilities.
Are you saying that I can jailbreak WITHOUT having phone capabilities?
If so that would be great. Then after the iunlock I can get phone?

I'm very confused.

what firmware are you on - and what baseband version do you have?

Sorry I had 1.1.1 w/ lots of apps. I tried to go to 1.1.3 but only messed it up so I tried to go back to 1.1.1 but only was able to get 1.1.2 which obviously I have no apps.
