I am going to be somewhere for a week that will (hopefully) have cell phone access, but no kind of wifi service. I listen to a lot radio programs, which I download daily. Is there a way to download podcasts directly to the Iphone? I can take a laptop with me, but it isn't the computer that has Itunes on it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
You'll be able to download podcasts if the file is under 10MB. But regardless of size, you can stream the podcast and listen to it that way instead.
You might want to look at the RSS Player app - HERE in the App Store - lets you download podcasts with no 10MB limit over EDGE, 3G etc.
I use Mediafly for my podcasts. It does not need wifi (regardless of file size) and will work with the 3G network rather well. If you have wifi available you can preload them before you travel to at least get some on there.
I got the app, thanks. It found 3 of 5 daily shows, 1 of 2 weekly shows.
I'm trying to figure out how to extract the shows' links from ITunes.
Anyhow, even if I can't get the others, I can stream them. When I tried it before, it completely tied up Safari.
