I have had little issue with my new 3GS. Other than the battery being a lot shorter than expected. And a couple of hangups with the screen becoming unresponsive. But I have not wanted to post my problems because I didnt know how far it would go.
I do believe that Apple should resolve our issues shortly. Either with a fix, or a speedy return for our purchase. I do not believe that these issues should be negated to the bottom of the list, because its just a simple few that report anything.
I am from the mindset that you get what you pay for. And if we are paying a hefty premium, it should work they way it is stated. Anything other than that in my book, is false advertisement.
And if we become a member of a community, than it should be a community. If someone has issues, then its our responsibility to take their concerns seriously, and give a listening ear. Not attack them because we might feel that they are somehow belittling our precious devices, and their parent company.
We each have something that we believe in. Let it be something more than a thing....
From my experience here, attitudes are pretty reasonable and balanced. I've had problems with my iPhone and gotten helpful people responding in minutes more than once. Just outstanding. I see very little mocking going on here in general. I've read lots of balanced discussion regarding complaints and problems. I've been a member of several online communities and I find this one to be exceptional. Of course, in a big group, there's bound to be exceptions.
The thing to bear in mind, this is an iPhone board, so the overall atmosphere is naturally going to be very positive toward the iPhone. Just like the Celine Dion forum is going to be very positive about her music.
