The AT&T salesperson told me it was due to apple's contract with AT&T, that they could not have one while working, but could have one on their own time. This was way back in July that this happened.

wow... you'd think they'd want as many in the stores as possible.

John, sit on the curb a little longer. Maybe you'll find what your looking for. I think the web browsing is the best that I...Me...myself have seen. Not sure what John or anyone else saw. Anyways, moving on...

Yah, thats weird about the ATT employees. I like my iPhone every day more and more, just miss my text pics I used to get from my buddys all the time. My original choice was to get the curve since it is at such a great price right now ($99, WOW!) and get the iPhone V.2 but I am too damn impatient to wait till November (per CNets info). She did tell me I have 30 days to try it our or pay $40 to restock it if I bring it back. I'll have to research this.

I have both; the iphone for fun and the curve for work. i got the iPhone first and love it. it's my go-to phone regardless of which is closer. the curve might do everything that the iPhone does, but its so damn hard to figure out. the photos look like crap, i wouldn't dare watch a movie on it even if i could figure out how, and the full qwerty keyboard isnt that easy to type on if you have full sized fingers. hands down, if i had to choose one, i'd take the iPhone every time - no question. play with the curve. see how you like it. i dont. i dont get it at all...and that stupid rolling ball. blah

Default hi, i just joined the community and have ample experience with both devices

after trying both the iphone and the curve i think the iphone is superior and you may have made up your mind to quickly. Obviously if you are a road warrior with need for instant email to close a deal i would say curve is the right choice, but beyond that, the iphone is great. the keyboard on the iphone is very intuitive, plus bigger than the curve when turned sideways. data plans are cheaper on the iphone and the i phone is much easier to set up. depending on your line of work should dictate your choice in devices. as an example i don't need 10 email accounts, but i sell a lot on ebay. the standard browser on bb is mostly text and i cant respond or list items efficiently, whereas the iphone is a piece of cake. i know people like a tactile keyboard but i am now a lot faster with the iphone than the typical qwerty keyboard. i respect your decision, but there are other factors to consider than the few you mentioned.
good luck
john

The only thing the iPhone has that the Curve could benefit from is the browser.

Other than that the email on the iPhone is awful and the keyboard overall is a lot less accurate.

even if there is no iphone 2 rim is making a ton by selling 3rd party software. gps? basically the iphone has it with google maps. data plan, cheaper on i phone. i had an iphone break and got a new one in 1 day, does rim do that? once you get used to the keyboard you will have a hard time with the blackberry keyboard. iphone is superior, cheaper in the long run, great customer service, and unless you are a road warrior who needs 10 email accounts with instant access, the curve is not a good first choice. if you are a road warrior with 10 accounts, i feel for you.
