Default iphone tech support

Today I used iphone telephone support to find out if Adobe flash was supported on the iphone. I was told it was not.

The person that I spoke to asked me what flash was--(I explained that it was a plugin for safari and that many web sites require flash) the tech support person still did not comprehend what flash was and continued by asking what did it do. (I continued by explaining that it was used to provide multimedia content to websites)

How can a person providing tech support not be aware of what flash is? Flash Player is installed on 98% of Internet-enabled desktops worldwide and it is really unacceptable that a tech support person would have never heard of flash.

Doesn't surprise me at all. Tech support is often more useless than it is useful.

If the item that tech support is supporting doesn't have something, they can't reasonably be expected to know. They can tell you all the things it can do, but not the infinite number of things it can't.

The iPhone doesn't has Vorbis Ogg either, but you cannot reasonably expect iPhone tech support training documentation to specifically mention that it doesn't have this particular thing.

You can always call up tech support, and as if item X has a flux capacitor. The answer should always be the same: Flux capacitor is not one of the listed features.
