Default iPhone jailbreaking = No Upgrading???
I have a jailbroken 1.1.2 iPhone.
Is it true that once your iPhone is jailbroken, you cannot upgrade to newer iPhone versions???

No. This is not true. You will just have to restore your phone, or wait to hear other stories from people.

You can update; however, this will result in all of modifications disappearing.

Once you have the new firmware, you will be unable to jailbreak. The Dev Team may come out with a solution to jailbreak your new firmware, but for the time being you're stuck.
