Every time I watch HD channels on my TV and the iphone rings or I make a call, it causes interference on the TV. My TV is connected to a cable box which is itself connected to the cable outlet on the wall so NO over the air channels are involved here. This only happens on HD channels. The interference is so big that I am forced to switch the channel to the standard definition one. Why would the iphone cause this? The TV and the cable box are 10 feet away!!!
iPhone is the 'dirtiest' mobile phone I've had in the best part of 10 years. I'm amazed it passed its EMI testing to be honest. It drives me potty. At least it's another precaution against missing calls because the volume is pants. - Turn up the Hi-Fi and you can still hear an incoming call before the phone rings.
My DirecTv does the same always about 7:00 in the evening, it gets blocky. But not every nite, like every other nite. I have complained, but no answer maybe this is it.
If I keep my iPhone too close to my monitor, it blanks the screen whenever the iPhone occasionally transmits. It also comes across on the el cheapo speakers on the wife's computer about 10 feet away.
What's interesting is that it sounds exactly like the same type of interference that Nextel phones had (have? I haven't had one in years).
