I would say no, you haven't modded your phone. Modding is when you download the Installer. You don't need to worry about it.
This happened to me once when I had about a bajillion alarms set. How many do you have set? If there's nothing much there, I suggest restarting the phone. (Power off, power on.)
If that doesn't work, then Restore in iTunes. That's your best bet.
my guess is u have unlocked the phone.....that's what happened to me....
if you unlock the phone...try this...
do a hard reset and try to unlock again....it should work....
but....my iphone right now i cannot use the headset for phone call, listening to music is fine...so...hope it doesn't happen to you....
