    Garmin G60

I had been keeping tabs on the Garmin G60 phone for quite a while because the thought of GPS on my phone from Garmin sounded really nice to me. However with the turn by turn coming from Tom Tom or Navigon on the iPhone, does anyone think this phone now holds any water or is it gone by the wayside?

I still think it's going to be worth watching, More for the OS than anything else, since it will be linux based, and therefore, open to possibilities -(although the article I just read makes it sound like everything after the first release will be android, which I am not a big fan of)
The thing that excites me about this phone is that it will probably be built with some durability in mind. I mean this is going to be your true GPS device and your phone, and your internet communication center, all in one. If they make it as delicate as the iphone, it wouldn't be worthy of the Garmin name.
I am saddened by the technical stats though. It seems that they fall short with only 4 GB internal memory, but have expandable storage. The battery life is another one that seems to have fallen short. You know that they can do better. They might be still tweaking, which would be the reason for the delay.
I have the distinct feeling this will be one of those devices that slips onto the scene and then makes a huge racket, probably right when Att/Apple are hitting another low point with their customers.
    I'll be watching too.

At first glance it looks like a Zippo lighter to me.

I saw a G60 demo unit earlier this year, and it felt like it was close to being ready for release (no glitches or other issues during the time I spent with it). The delay has been disappointing, though. The interface looked and felt just like a stand-alone Garmin GPS unit with a phone tacked on. So, it will be a bit of a one-trick pony and I don't think they're going to have an app store or anything to supplement it. I think it will be great for frequent travelers who need GPS guidance often, but less useful for those who need more or don't need GPS all that often...
