i'm sure there's a way you could find the owner, but it doesn't sound like you want to. you won't get any hints from me on how to keep it and make it work for you - i'd be pissed if i lost my iphone and the person who found it wanted to keep it for themselves instead of trying to return it to me. but i guess i can't expect anything more from people nowadays, can i?

I found an iphone in New York City on a tour bus. I thought that if I gave it to the driver the owner would never see it again. I took it back to my hotel and emailed 4 of the guys contacts and told them I found their friends phone. I got no response. I waited for the guy to call. I thought I could meet him the next day and return his phone. It did not happen. He never called his phone. He shut it off immediately. I called AT&T and they said since the phone was from France there was no way for them to track it. I tried googleing some of his contacts. I call apple and they said there was nothing they could do. I have spent way to much time trying to return this phone. What do suggest. I use verizon and don't even want this phone.
