It forces you to the new template. I'm working on a fix that will accomodate both new template users and old.

I don't see why you wouldn't like this. Very convenient! Great work Chris. I look forward to seeing the template updated soon. (although it's already awesome.)

Great work! Some feedback...
Thanks a bunch, Chris. I like this interface quite a bit.
Since this is beta, I will offer some feedback/suggestions: - When viewing a list of threads, I would expect the blue arrow (next to the last person to reply) would take me to the last unread post. At the very least it should take me to the very last post, although the last unread post would be better appreciated.
- "Return to Top" does not work in the user control panel. It seems to work elsewhere.
- In all honesty, a "Skip to Bottom" is more useful than the redundant "Return to Top" since that feature is already built into Safari Mobile (by tapping the top status bar [where the clock is displayed]).
- How about a link to take us to the "regular" formatted web site (for those that inevitably will want that). I would use that every now and again (for example, to "Thank" someone)
- The "Search" button takes me to the desktop-browser-based EIC home page
- Is the "Back" button redundant as well? The browser's Back button does the same, no?
- Okay, I'm surfing around the mobile EIC site and now I dropped back into the full desktop-browser-formatted site. I can't seem to get back to the mobile-formatted site. How do I do this?
Keep up the good work, Chris. I'm enjoying this!

chris: Did you write the code into the vBulletin plugin system to force the style to a certain thing when the user agent has iPhone in it? Or anything similar?
If so, why not remove it, or change it to show a notice upon the first page load of a visit (session cookie?) instead of forcing the style set?
That way, everyone can actually see the original, full-size, ad containing layout and see what's different between it and the iPhone adfree, and the folks who like the new digs can get their fix as well, simply through the same quick style picker at the bottom left as in regular browsers.
Hope this helps

Love the new interface! No problems (yet?). Very fast in comparison to the desktop browser in the iPhone. Thanks Chris.

Thanks. That's exactly where I'm at right now. A plug-in is forcing the mobile style. I'm trying to figure out where I need to code the default template to push to the main mobile template. Since there won't be a sniffer script on that template, I can create a simple link to the old mobile template. This way, everyone is happy (well, at least for the time being).

Okay, so now both mobile templates are working. You will initially be greeted by the light version. Scroll down to the bottom and you can select "old template". Once you are in either template, I don't believe you'll have to endure too much switching unless you're clearing out your cache/cookies.
Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. I won't be able to get to all them right away, but you can expect I'll continue to update the template over the coming weeks.
Thanks for your patience.
-Chris
