Default Computer crashed and lost everything, how can I recreate playlists from phone?

I fortunately made a backup of my wife's phone on my PC, but her computer that she used that had her music and playlists in her iTunes has completely failed and I have to reinstall the OS.

Her Phone still has the music and playlists on it, is there away I can put those playlists back into her PC once I have it reloaded with OS and iTunes? Or can I create the Playlists on my PC from her Phone? We both have the same music so we didn't lose any music in her PC crash.

Thanks,
Griff

I guess I don't understand why the playlists themselves are important. It's the music that most people are concerned about losing. Once you get the music back on the PC, can't you just make new playlists?

Anyway, you can use this http://i-funbox.com/ to transfer music from an iPhone to a computer (since iTunes doesn't allow that), but I'm not sure if it will work with the playlists themselves.

She has about 30 Playlists and about 800 songs on her current phone. Having to go back through all that will be a NIGHTMARE

I have a similar problem but with an iPod which cannot be re-synced because I would loose all the playlists that I had created although I have the music. There has to be a program out there which will make a clone of an iPod so that you can re-sync with iTunes when something like this happens.

First use the program recommended above to move copies of the music back onto your harddrive. I have never used I Fun box but I have used another program to move music from Iphone to pc which is done entirely separate from Itunes. DISCONNECT the phone. Open Itunes and point the music sync section to the folder where you placed the music. Then connect the phone and sync. Won't the playlists be preserved this way?

I will give it a try.

Regardless I find it dumb that Apple does not have an easy way in the event your PC explodes, yet you still have all your stuff on your iPhone, why can't you Sync form the iPhone back to a new install of iTunes

You can also use Purple Ghost software which will pull all of your music backwards from your iPod into iTunes. Purple Ghost also supports playlists, movies, podcast's and so forth. Mark

+1 on purple ghost - although it is actually called igadget i think, unless we are talking about different software. I fun box will only take the raw data (music / pics etc).
