Default Backup?
So I am trying to figure out if I should back up my 3G before I update to 3.0. Any advice? Also, please forgive the ignorance of this question, but when I backup, is that the same as a sync? Is the process the same or is there something else I need to be doing? Thanks.

The phone will be backed up automatically when you do the 3.0 process. And yes, that is the same as a sync.
