Any Advice? Update problems...

hey guys, im fairly new to the site...

I update to the new itunes 7.6 flawlessly but when I plugged in my iphone to update it itunes would not synch or read it in any way. The battery icon came up to indicate it was charging but on itunes no sign, no icon on the left or swirly thing on the top, nothing. I called apple support and he told me a lot of people were having this problem and it was not just me. He gave me a site to get my old itunes back....it's downloading now...any advice on how to proceed...anyone else with this problem...? thanks and happy new year all...

After I downloaded the update, and iTunes began the process of updating, iTunes spit out a 1602 error message and quit the update. I unplugged my iPhone and re-synced. Everything went well from there.

My phone went into non activation mode. I tried a soft reboot, still it didn't work. I unplugged the phone, rebooted the computer, replugged the phone, began itunes and the phone reactivated. Good Luck!
