Default Alarm feature failed?

So I was suppose to wake up today set iphone alarm for 830 am to help the lady next door with yard work at 9 am. And it didnt alarm! I woke up at 930am and only then when I pressed the top button of the iphone thats when it sounded and clicked ok to stop it.

Last week it worked fine for me I know theres this icon on the top right that says the alarm feature is going. So im not sure I overslept and didint hear the alarm at830 or the iphone just failed.

btw: battery was good check that. it was on vibrate but I tested it before and the alarm feature does sound even if it is on vibrate. and the alarm does say 830am Like I said Ive used it last week.

From personal experience, I am such a heavy sleeper that I will occassionaly sleep through alarms.

I'll wake up at 9am knowing full well that the alarm was set and has been going off since 8am.

Could just be your internal "wake up" mechanism.

If you use your charging dock and hook your iPhone up to your home stereo, you can actually have the alarm play through your stereo.

Just leave the stereo on at a decent level, and when the alarm goes off, it plays through your stereo speakers and your iPhone speakers. Try to sleep through that!

That is great!!! Playing the sound "alarm" at 120db. That would give me a fit!

Okay so I did a test on what happened and found why it did not alarm this morning. So aside from setting the alarm feature to wake me up at 830am I also put an alarm on my calendar to "alert me" 30 before 9am. So tested it just now and the alert on the calendar vibrated, which then does not set the Alarm off after the alert from the calendar.

I knew I did not sleep in cause any small sounds usually wakes me up and this is the first time an alarm did not wake me. I tested it cause I was going to use the alarm feature as my primary alarm when school starts back up.

In summary: Do not set calendar and alarm to alert you at the same time. that was why last week it worked and not this morning
