1st generation iPhone ? about data plan

I sold my wifes 4g iPhone and I was going to give my wife my 8g and buy a 16g new one for myself and I know the new plan is $30. My question is if I give my wife the original one will I be paying $20 or $30 since they don't make the original ones anymore....Thanks

Actually both. $20 for the V1 phone and $30 to the V2. Also be aware that the data plan for the V2 includes no txt msgs.

Someone in another topic just confirmed that "engadget" have gotten info from apple that they are now adding the 200 text back onto the plans

I just got off the phone with AT&T(6.12.08 6:40 ctl), about upgrading my second line to the 3G. Which actually it is not considered an upgrade they would take the current contract and eliminate it and start a new contract from the date I purchase the 3G. The 3G data plan is $30 a month and from what the rep read from the computer that 200 text is included with the unlimited data and visual voicemail.

That is good to know. I was worried there for a sec. That would of made the data/200sms plan $35, the same as a blackberry. The good price($20) was always a real deal on the iphone but at $199 how can you complain.
