I agree. I have a feeling that the 3G data plan is going to cost more but I don't think it's going to be THAT much more. I know that my old BlackJack data plan was $30 without texts or anything so maybe it'll be the same for the iPhone, just a $10 increase.

I believe you are in the ballpark. $10 was also my thought. So that in itself isn't a deal breaker, I just would have to see more than 3G to get me to upgrade.

I will not be getting the new iPhone, as far as I know. It was a purchase of $600 for me to get this one, and I am very happy with it. I am not a huge user of GPS systems, though I have a Garmin. Other than that, I don't really need 3G. I am fine with Edge speeds, but I am almost always on a WiFi network anyways. To me, 3G is not a lasting technology YET, and I want to wait and see how it develops. WiFi is a growing technology, and more areas will be covered by it soon.

I think it will be interesting to see what Jobs unveils, but at the same time I feel that my phone is sufficient. Maybe the third generation will be the charm.

I've been streaming over 3G on my N95, and that only costs me $15/month. If the iphone data plan is raised, the other medianet plans would have to raise as well. Not gonna happen.

I'm buying no matter what. I just didn't want to buy V1 when V2 is approaching very soon. It'll all be new to me no matter what. It'll be my first Iphone, so I'm really looking forward to own this piece of art.

3G is not a big deal for me. But if the app store offers some awesome apps that need 3G I might break down and get one. That is a big might.

im more interested in the software upgrade. as of now, i love my phone, case and speakers to change everything just for faster internet. if the capacity had increased, i'd probably upgrade immediately.
