If you really want digital zoom just upload the picture to your compuer and zoom in using iPhoto or similar program, it's the same damn thing.

Or just take the picture as normal, then view the pic, zoom in to the desired crop position, then take a full-screen screenshot (home button + lock button). Exit photos and go back in and you'll find a lovely zoomed, cropped version of your photo.

We could do with more motion activated functions.

For example when you shake the phone a certain way, The phone locks.

I would also think they require video messaging and instant recording. Also a keyboard, it comes handy while msging rather then using the touch screen, I would prefer keyboard more.

shake to lock would be silly because the button is so easy already. In fact other than dedicated buttons for camera and voice dial like my BBs all had, the buttons are perfect.

I think app store and 3g solved most of this thread. My two feature wants: copy/paste and real PIM, ie syncable notes and todos, which are also avail with Missing Sync for $40.

Alt-tab equivalence would also be nice.

Oh, re:tethering: Att's network would collapse under the weight of millions of iPhones tethering. Probably on iPhone 4g we'll see that, or perhaps exclusively as a Snow Leopard feature.

I agree with copy paste. Thats really necessary. It would save up a lot of hassle if they give the copy paste feature.
