I just returned from Best Buy. There was no one there much to my surprise. The BB sales person told me they only had 1 Pre for sale today. I asked to see the demo and got to hold it in my hands and check out the hardware. It wasn't functional. What impressed me is that the screen did look larger in person, and very clear. It is much sleeker than I expected from online pictures and much darker looking. It also feels great in the hand. But the biggest disappointment were the keys. They are incredibly small, much more than I imagined them to be, and I have small hands and slender fingers too.

Wow I knew they were going to have limited quantities, but 1 are they serious. That's just a joke unless you mean they only had 1 left. How do they expect to sell them. If that happened at a lot of stores I bet a lot of people are going to be mad and might not want to even give the pre another chance.

well, he's in Los Angeles, which is a pretty small town from what i hear, so 1 Pre would probably do them just fine.

LOL..yes, quite small indeed. Actually this store is over by UCLA so they have a lot of students in that area.

No, the store only carried 1 or 2 Pre's today. I was shocked since this store handles the UCLA traffic. It was dead in there. I felt like I was the only customer.

So I am guessing they did sell out of them? That shocks me they had so few. I am still interested to see how many they sell today and if that number will raise, slow, or come to a dead halt after the new iphone is announced.

Well, Im a Valley girl so cross the hills and go to one over there. I think there's a store in Westwood but I've seen the other one off of the 405-10.

But BB are generally horrible to check out phones because they have the dummy phones that one cant even play/test out!

A kid in the apple store told me there are more rumours on apple products than Paris Hilton! (well, maybe with her, they are true and not rumours

That's the store I went to, the one in Westwood. I agree with Paris Hilton the rumors are more likely to be true. LOL

I have the definitive iPhone release news:

The new iPhone will indeed be released on Monday.

However, it will be a beta version and buyers will be required to ship the unit back to Apple (at their own expense) approximately every two weeks for an updated beta until release of the final hardware.
