How many on this board plan to purchase the new iPhone 32GB instead of the 16GB? I don't think I will ever use all of that 32GB but I plan on purchasing the 32GB model. I know I will be using the data plan and apps far more than the voice plan.

I know I will certainly go for the 32. Regardless of whether or not I need that much space, it's better to be safe than sorry!

I am absolutely going to the 32GB. I was kind of disappointed that the we haven't heard much to indicated that the next model will have 32GB/64GB versions because I'd probably get the 64GB if it was an option.

I'd love to be able to have all my music on the phone, and keep all of my converted DVDs on the phone, and be able to keep all the recorded videos I will be taking. I have tons of cycorder vids on my jailbroken phone now, and I know I will be doing a lot more video recording once it is actually integrated into the phone. Especially with the ease of editing and uploading.

I agree, it is better to be on the safe side. There will be larger apps which are graphically intensive. A video capable phone will require more space not to mention the music, movies and other files we choose to add. Also, it is not the full 32GB right out of the box. After formatting it is probably closer to 30GB.

Plus you will probably be adding HD videos which take up a ton of space.

From a newbie perspective, I hear the battery life sucks from just simply owning the phone but playing movies? I learned the hard way years ago with my 4th gen iPod when I was waiting to depart to London from LAX and I started to play a video, 10 mins later it drained the battery and no iPod on the flight and last time I even thought of playing a video on ANY of my portable apple products. I did have a tv show on my nano and it lasted a lot longer but still!

In your case if you travel a lot you may wish to invest in an external battery such as a RichardSolo or the Storm battery which is 1900 mAh which will fully recharge your battery in a couple hours.

I don't even use my full 16GBs of space, but I would end up getting the 32(or larger)GB. Don't forget they are allowing so many new API's including turn by turn navigation which would take a good bit of space.

Ok so about the Roger's details, what does outright: not allowed, 3-year: TBD mean? I'm guessing that 3 year is the contract and maybe not allowed has to do with the price. And TBD is to be determined.

My guess, outright = full price/no contractural commitment

YMMV
