As always, nobody knows for sure. But, the flash memory is in production for the 32 Gb iPod Touch. Question becomes whether Apple marketing wants to intentionally drive Touch sales by offering the only model with the higher memory loading.

One thing to consider is that Native Applications will require more internal memory to run. With jailbroken iPhones, we are already seeing issues of not enough storage space. That doesn't even take into account the ability to run programs in the background.

Do you mean 64 gb iPod touch the 32's are on the shelves. Anyway I would say you right on the mark for a few months at least.

I would assume they'll bump it up like that, but again only time will tell.

I think I read somewhere that the memory chip in the iPhone and iPod touch are not the same and that the iPhone uses only one chip not two.....who knows what'll happen with this one though :P

Im hoping for 32...oh please SJ, 32! Realistically I think the new one is going to be 16gb and then a few months later a 32. Just like they did with the first gen. I hope Im wrong though.

yeah the iPhone has only one available slot at present compared to the touché two. However who knows with a NEW design they may go for 2 slots. But with all the other stuff theyre packing in I would doubt it
