I think there's some merit to them keeping it largely the same so that all the cases and such don't have to be reengineered...

Is it me or is the screen smaller? The screen doesnt go out as far to the bezel...

It does say the bezel is thinner, which would make the screen look smaller as it wouldn't extend to the edge to where the bezel once was. This is all speculation, though. I would have expected a little more change than that if this is true!
