you are not going to find any info on a version two because quite frankly, all of it will be speculation and rumors, none of it true
i too was wondering which version to get
after i thought about it, i looked at apples history and it shows that they dont outdate their own products very often
i have not heard many problems about the iphone rather than a slow ATT network but i see no reason why apple would want to improve upon this sexy, sleek phone very soon

i hope this helped

It's easy to get trapped in the cycle of, "Well, I'll buy the next version..."

Meanwhile, you're missing out.

i'm still waiting for the iPhone in UK, its suppose to be released in the 4th quarter, they will make loads of money if its released around christmas, heard rumours the european version of the iphone will be 3g since 3g is a huge thing in europe/uk. I cant see this happening, im not looking forward to it since if its going to be released on Vodafone the contract is no doubt going to be very expensive.

I think the 3g version should have been sold here too.

why is everyone so obsessed with having 3g on the iphone? i mean, if it plays videos from itunes, and you can convert any video to mpeg4 with isquint, why does it matter to have 3g?

This isn't dissing anyone, I just would like to hear opinions.

If you keep waiting for the next one you will never have one.

It depends on what you mean by "version 2". There is some info on so called iPhone-nano:

Here: http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2007/0...tent-surfaces/

and here: http://www.unwiredview.com/2007/05/1...at-the-bottom/

Seemed pretty evident he was concerned about an "improved" iPhone coming out shortly after he bought v1.

I have little doubt the EU or Asian versions will have 3G. I don't think ANY data capable device would do well at all in those markets without such a standard (de facto) provision. There are still those of us here who believe the current iPhone may actually have 3G, just temporarily disabled for some reason (like the current patent infringement suit involving Qualcom)...
