Cut and Paste - really, crappy $40 phones do this!
better Recent Call info (time and incoming/outgoing information).
ICE (In Case of Emergency) info on the Lock Screen. That way you don't have to make a funky wallpaper with the info that you always see. Other cheap phones have this feature too!
More memory. I would like to put my whole music library on it, even though I know it isn't practical. Around 60GB. Oops forgot my demo reel and other video. Ok make that a 120GB iPhone

Voice Dialing (user independent).
Turn by Turn nav (like the one Tom Tom has waiting in the wings).
FLASH on Safari! (I know it is already being worked on).

Steve said that flash was "ancient technology" and he also disapproves of MMS
As for video capture, that would probably be available in V3 because Apple needs other features they can add to V3 to make it unique from the 3G. Donno why everyone is freaking out about copy/paste. its not THAT big of a need.

For some it can be needed badly, and for others it isnt. It differs...

If everyone is freaking then wouldn't you think that there is a real need for more than just a few people? I would use it almost every day. Many programs could be enhanced if it was supported by the OS.

The only thing I can see is how do you work into the touch editing interface the trigger for highlighting a word/words, then selecting Copy. I have seen data pushed and multiple apps that read common data. So the hold out may just be working out feasible mechanics with touch.

Umm... Lol

I still have the iPhone, of course, but I'm using my BlackBerry again. I even switched back to the BBerry Plan. Without it, you don't get a lot of stuff from the phone. Literally... Different icons and things appear after you're on one.
