300(X)=how many millions of PROFIT that apple has lost because of poor planning, etc etc. Look at the Wii shortage which equals millions of potential PROFIT lost.

dude... think about it. Iphone1 and iphone2 are virtually identical, so Apple is probably using the SAME FACILITIES to manufacture the new iphone... which is going to sell like GANGBUSTERS because it is now subsidized, which means they had to build up a HUGE supply, which means they needed to start production a WHILE ago. Instead of building up a surplus of v1s that they would have had to sell at a ridiculous loss OR completely trash, they decided to err on the low side, and save enough refurbs for warranty replacements.
And whaddya wanna bet the people that haven't been able to buy an iphone in the last two months are HAPPY that they didn't now that the v2 is coming (and will purchase it ASAP)? An overwhelming majority, methinks.
