If I remember correctly this is not the first time we have heard these types of ramblings. Could be nothing, could just be the 32GB models. Still who knows when these(if they are in fact 3G) will hit market. I would bet at least not until after iPhone sw v2.0 is released.

Edit.. I take that part back, there is no way they would order 10 million v1 32 gb iPhones. If there were a 10mill order it would have to be the 3g ones.

They were talking about this on CNN today when they gave a Market Watch report for the second quarter regarding stocks to watch. They said to watch Apple's stock because of the 3G iPhone might be coming soon. I really hope so ...

I personally don't want to see a 3g phone released....at least not right away.
It will make me feel like I wasted $600 (Aug 3rd owner here) and I would like to get at least 2 years out of my current investment.

What I WOULD like to see, however, are a lot more software upgrades.
