Sounds like their not gonna be jacking the price up to high! Let's hope not and even if they were, by the time I can get one I dont care if I have to pay $999 for one, it will be mine, OH YES, it will be mine!

I just saw this on Macrumors and i this ends up being true its great news. Even though it sounds pretty much like what Apple would do, it wouldn't be a shocker if Apple decides to charge more for the 3G iPhone. Let's keep our finger crossed! I want one of these babies as soon as they come out.

Better get rid of it now! If this is true then who would wanna buy a used 1st gen. for pretty much the same price or a little more for a new shiny 3g model.

Something I'm not too excited about is that the same rumors says that the UI will be the exact same. Oh well.

They are VERY easy to sell. I routinely sell mine when I get bored with it and play with a new phone for a while til I miss the iPhone then I buy another one. It is fun, it's like iDay over & over again.

Just got one two days ago, they always sell for $400 so I only lose $30 each time.

I really hope they make at least a 32GB next generation iPhone (I'm sure they will) and I think the price point of $600 would be pretty fair.

I'm not one to gloat, but the rumors are starting to sound more and more like my predictions all along. Very similar phone, with 3G. I think it's a smart move at this point. The iPhone is already doing stellar sales... why rock the boat when there's no real competition yet? Just sort the software issues for both V1 and V2, please.
