Can anyone confirm they get a good car speaker connection when connecting the 3.5mm to the cigarette lighter thingy and then to iphone docking port?

I have to fiddle with the 3.5mm end in the car AUX for it to come out of all speakers properly. If I do direct 3.5mm to 3.5mm (missing out the cigarette thingy completely) I have no problems so its not the car AUX, the 3.5mm lead or my phone.

both of these cases come with lcd screen protectors. i will definately take the sgp for the lcd protectors but im not sure about the case itself. i haven't found any much reviews about it. if anyone could recommend me more cases that have the characteristics that im seeking for -thin,chrome bezel covered, please recommend me some nice cases. i honestly dont like paying more than $30 for a case, so something around 20-30 would be nice.
