I just ran Blackrain & snow. I've always been annoyed that the Outlook mail feature on my phone is really basic & not very user friendly. As a result I rarely have my mail pushed to my cell. It seems after I got my 2 work email accounts up & running on my phone the messages come through fine, but there is no ways to:
-File mail into multiple folders.
-Create new permanent Folders.
-Create rules or filters.

I pretty much have : Inbox, Sent & Trash.
I used a nice 3rd party app Ibis mail & it has a great full featured email system. But like all apps every time I update firmware I lose it & the setting. My brother got a 3GS about 3 months ago. His iphone Outlook has a lot of different folders ect..

-Did I set up my iphone Outlook wrong at 1st?
-Is the 3GS use of Outlook that much better than 3G?
-Are there any ways to enhance my iphone Outlook features/ service on my cell?

I am a fairly new user to the iPhone and I had my cell number ported over from Verizon to AT&T about 2 months ago. Since I have have received my iPhone I have not been getting text messages from computer servers like airlines to let me know about delays in flights or messages from ESPN telling me about injuries for fantasy football. I do however get text messages from friends and other phones just fine. I have called AT&T and they have told me to unsubscribe from these services, wait 72 hours and then resubscribe to these services. I have done that with no avail. I have also upgraded to the latest iPhone OS that is available, MMS also seems to be working. I travel almost every week and even though I have an App for looking up flight information I would still like to know that the text messages are working too. I was just wondering if anyone else has had an issue like this in the past or is currently going through something like this?

The ad said brand new and when i got the phone and took it out of the box it looked... I recently purchased a used 16gb Iphone 3g from an ad on kijiji. The ad said brand new and when i got the phone and took it out of the box it looked brand new. Upon taking everything out of the box and turning on the phone i realized it had been used or at least opened before.

When i touch the screen it takes a while to respond and when i try and touch "ok" or "back" at the bottom of the screen it never works so i have to touch the home button. I tried to restore but the seller did not know the password and he is long gone by now. I tried several other ways to restore the iphone including holding down sleep and home for 10 seconds but nothing seems to work. Ive plugged it into the computer and it doesn't show up on itunes. Ive tried reinstalling itunes as well but once again nothing happened.

Im planning on taking it to a local repair shop but would like any advice before i waist more time/money on it. I realize I'm a meatstick for buying something online without looking at and testing it before i handed the cash over so please so harsh comments.

I put the auto lock on but as soon as it comes on the lock screen a few seconds later my iphone will reboot itself and will just keep flashing the apple logo until i plug it in to either a pc or the mains.

I was thinking about ways around this and then i though maybe i could find an application which is an alternative the iphone lock screen.

is there an application out there like that? Or can somebody make a simple lock for my iphone. Obviously without being able to lock the screen is always on which wastes battery.

My iphone is jailbroken so can use homebrew apps and stuff.

Usually at the bottom of the settings for an SMTP Server that you have setup it offers a red button which says "Delete Server". Under one of the accounts I setup I don't have that option and that is the problem. It seems like there is an error in the system somewhere

I also just upgraded the Firmware from 3.0 to 3.1.2 and figured that might help to resolve the problem, but it didn't.

Any ideas on why I might not be able to delete this server's settings or how I can delete it would be much appreciated.

My phone doesn't lag but it's as if the edge is faster than my 3g. I cleared all history, cache, and cookies but the performace wasn really changed. I even rebooted the phone. I'm new here and needing help. I plugged in my phone today and first my Itunes wouldn't open up. I went into control panel for add/remove as I was going to uninstall and re-install Itunes. I clicked on the support icon and hit repair Itunes and it did. Itunes opened up with my phone so I let it update to the new version. Well, I left it all day plugged into my pc and when I went to get my phone it's dead. I called Apple and she emailed me this link: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 Well even that won't bring my phone back up. It's like it is entirely out of power.

Does anyone have any ideas or have similar experience?
