ok, I really wish I could afford the 15 inch version since that is what my Dell is, but I can't spend $1700 right now, I just don't have it. So I have been looking at both of the 13" versions.

Currently the dell is a 2ghz, 200 gig hard drive, 3gig ram machine and still have 143gig free.

I can upgrade the 2.26ghz version to match the 2.53 version, minus the processor speed and be $150 cheaper.

Is the faster processor worth the extra $150?

Or, should I go with the slightly slower processor(2.26) and spend a little extra on a larger hard drive (320gig or even the 500 gig)?

Or, go with the 320 gig hard drive and another accessory or something(software)?

I don't have a lot of songs(couple hundred) yet or any movies on my current laptop. the song library is growing, but I don't expect to have 10's of thousands or anything. right now only a couple hundred.

I don't do a lot of video editing, but would like to do beginner editing of drag racing or street cruises and other things that I do and post up on the net.

I don't play online games. and don't really intend to.

Mainly I use it to surf the internet, use it for quickbooks for my part time company and use it for tuning software for cars. which these things I will be using in XP on the MBP. Also use it for your typical word, excel, power point files as well and viewing adobe pdf files.

thoughts? recommendations?

right now I am thinking the slower processor of the two and upgrade to the 320gig hard drive. Then getting some acccessories like the mini display to DVI adapter since I have a 19" dell flat screen.

What about the iwork, final cut express or logic express software packages? I can't get them all and like I said, probably will maintain using MS Office products. I was originally going to get these apple products later after doing more research and if they are even worth the money.

Thanks for any help. Maybe some newb questions, but this will be my first MBP and have not had a chance to use one yet. Next will be looking into antivirus
