hi. I just did a clean install of win7 64bit, from vista 32bit. I copied my appdata folder, and itunes folder to a external hard drive.

I forgot to deauthorize vista, before I installed 7 and itunes and authorized it. Anyway, I've copied my old itunes folder over the new one.

Now I'm just worried about connecting my iphone 3gs. I dont want to lose my music (was on manual sync), apps, and most importantly my contacts by connecting to my computer now. And I want to be able to add/remove songs.

Do I have to copy anything from the vista appdata folder? What files and where? Inside Username/appdata/ there are three options local/local low/roaming - and the all have various apple folders inside them too.

anyhelp would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hello there!

Got some sad news people, my early 2009 model macbook was recently stolen. Silly me for thinking mobileMe wasn't worth getting. Until I can save up for a new computer, my dad is letting me use his Windows XP machine. Here comes the problem I am having.

How can I sync my iphone with this new computer? When I hook it up, iTunes recognizes it as *John Doe's* iPhone, but it won't let me modify any of the apps, or sync new songs. How can I get the new XP running machine to sync with my iPhone and make it the primary machine so that it backs up all my data, applications, and music? I'm sure it has to be possible, but I have no idea how to do this.

Thanks for any help, and I apologize for my 'noobiness!'
