jailbroken iphone 3GS. The problem I'm currently having is that I

recently copied a large # of songs (17GB from my old ipod) and put

that into my itunes library. WHen I tried syncing with my iphone

3GS 32GB, it would hang up, freeze on one of the songs it is trying

to sync. I tried reducing the number of songs but it cant seem to

handle syncing more than 20 songs at a time. Once it freezes if I

wait, it would take maybe 2 minutes before itunes gives me the msg

"The iphone "iphone 3GS" cannot be synced. THe device timed out".

I must then restart my computer before itunes will even recongnize

that my iphone is connected. And all just to go through this mess

again, where I might be able to sync 5-10 songs before it freezes.

If I am adding only 5 or less songs it will usually sync fine and

everything else seems to be working. I just tried re-installing

itunes and that did not seem to help.

I do not think the problem has to do with my iphone because I tried

the same thing with my ipod which I initially thought was due to

the ipod needing a reformat. Well I reformatted it and was able to

throw on most of the songs but not the remaining 17GB that I just

ripped off the other ipod. Since I've done that, I have not been

able to sync those songs onto my Iphone or Ipod even though

everything looks fine in my itunes. They both hang up after like 5

-10 songs and i must restart my computer before it will be

recongnized by the itunes or even my computer. The iphone or ipod

even stops charging itself until a restart as well, its as if the

device is totally not registering over the USB connection.

Has anyone had some issue similiar to this and know of a fix?

I just bought a Mophie Battery Pack Air from Bestbuy. I have charged the Battery pack for about 3 hours. When I plug it in to the phone nothing seems to be happening. I have tried switching the power on the Battery pack - the 4 LEDs light up for a few seconds and then shut off.

The documentation seems to suggest that I would hear a beep on the phone. Am I missing something? Well, I can't say I totally disagree, but it seems there are a lot of problems with it, some real, some that may appear in time, while others are nothing more than fiction at this time. While the dock issue is a real one, there are plenty of things to think about, as we're going to see right away, but before anything else, let's see what's up with that dock, shall we?
According to an Apple Store employee, quoted by intomobile your old iPhone dock won't be able to host the new iPhone 3G. As the guy said, "the iPhone 3G is shaped differently and doesn’t fit in the same dock," so you can leave all hope. The worst thing is that all audio systems featuring universal docks build so far will also be incompatible with the latest iPhone! What a pity...:dft011:wicked_smile
Well, at least let's hope someone will manage to come up with a "iPhone dock to iPhone 3G dock converter," so those audio systems I mentioned above won't instantly become obsolete as soon as their owners will upgrade to the iPhone 3G, but this is not all - now, let's see what else can be bad about the iPhone 3G!

Another possible issue with the iPhone 3G is long term cost. To make a longer story short, during the first two years, you'll have to pay $160 more because the pricier data plan for the iPhone 3G, compared to the old iPhone.

The iPhone 3G's camera still doesn't have a flash, and there are no replaceable batteries for it, either.

Unlike Google latitude... instead of just knowing where you are... but how far away are you?

It's called Where the flock (wheretheflock.com) and is currently available (for free) on Apple's iTunes Store.

Unlike other 'find-me' iPhone applications, WTF focuses on users quickly asking how far away are you? A users location is displayed on a map along with home and office bookmarks. This allows users to SEE how far away their friends and family are.

To further distinguish itself from other 'find-me' apps WTF also captures a users speed. Potentially useful information if you are wondering if your wife is stuck in traffic, or your son is driving safely.

And of course, safety being first... the location user's location is updated automatically every 1.5 kilometers.

WTF also allows a user to create a shared bookmark... enabling friends and family mark the map with a location to meet.

A common complaint about iPhone applications is that can only capture GPS coordinates while an application is running. Realising users needed incentives to use the application to capture their location, a parked car bookmark was also added to the application.
