Default video?

So Im yet to work out whether I can actually watch video on my iPhone 3G or that video is part of 3.0?

itunes sync has a video option, or is it just a bit ahead of its time?

Cheers

p.s. if video is useable could someone point me in the right direction.

The iPhone has been able to play video since day one with the first generation. You should be able to receive and view videos with a V1 or 3G no problem... you just can't create videos.

Woohoo... I can be a useful noob..

Yes - ALL the iphones/itouches can PLAY video. The big new deal is recording video, which only the new 3gS can do.

The 'easy' way is for you to rent or buy video through itunes but there is many other ways.

You have to first convert them to MPEG-4 files. Movies downloaded from iTunes are already in that format, but movies downloaded elsewhere are usually in a different format, such as AVI or DivX.

Google "iPhone video converter" and download a program.

There are countless good programs, but I use Xilisoft Video converter, they have both Mac and PC versions.

Then you import the file into your iTunes library.
