I ended up using Super Converter to convert the second part after DVD Decrypter to a 1GB MP4 file.
Works well.
I used dvd decrypter and super, but im not that tech savy. I ran into a slight problem. After decrypting and using super, it ends up saving my dvd movie into like 5 or 6 different clips of about 21 minutes. I want one file for the whole movie. How do I fix this? Also, since I'm not that tech savy, I left all the default settings on super when I coverted it to mp4. Should I change any settings to make the size smaller or anything?
Dvd decrypter has a option to not split the file up.
super you change from 25 fps to 30 and make the video bitrate 768.
Seems like when I view the video on my iPhone, some of the right part of the video is getting cropped.
When I play it in iTunes, it looks fine though. I'm converting it to iPod format in iTunes to see if that corrects it.
If you follow the link in the first post, it has a step by step instructions on how to use DVD Decrypter.
It also has pictures like this one that shows the splitting option-

I tried the apple reccomended settings of 480x320 but the screen always got cropped. I did right try clicking the file in iTunes and converting it for iPod, and it displayed correctly, but it was 1.1Gb in size. (Too large IMO)
I then used these settings in Super and got the file down to 750mb and it isn't cropped and displays widescreen with great audio.
So first I ran DVD Decrypter and followed the first part of the tutorial in the link I supplied in the first post. After getting the 4GB VOB file, I ran it in Super and converted it using these settings and got a 750MB file that displays great on the iPhone. Once you drag it into the movie folder, you can click it and hit get info to change the display name, etc...
I increased the audio and framerate from the stock iPod Super settings, but I'm sure you can lower it to 25fps and also lower the bitrate of the audio, but I wanted to see how it sounded less compressed.
