Default How does one get movies into the phone?

Hi, I am a new iphone convert from WM5, and this is my first experience with iphone, itunes or ipod.

How does one get AVI, MPG, MPEG and WMV files into the phone?

I've tried dragging & dropping, adding the movie files (Just seems to put it into itunes - but won't sync to phone) and a few other attempts.

Thanks in advance

Did you check if they are set to sync in the Movies Tab in the iPhone tab?

This topic clearly requires a forum search. To summarize what others have said, iPhone movies require compatible formats such as mp4. There are also restrictions on audio and video bitrates.

AVI and WMV must be converted before importing into iTunes.

Just bought my first iphone: Along these same lines, I have a movie downloaded from iTunes in "protected MPEG-4 video file" format that sits in iTunes library "movies", but I can't seem to get it to the iPhone "Movies". Someone suggested to check to see if it is set to sync in the movies tab of the iphone section of itunes. I don't see where I can check that.

All the music syncs. Appreciate ant help!

Make sure your videos are the right formats H.264 MP4.
Then transfer to iphone through iTunes is OK.
