Default Handbreak / iPhone 3G

I'm using Handbreak to convert and watch movies on my iPhone 3G; successfully on other movies until today. I guess I'm not sure what's the best settings to choose on Handbreak to convert DVD movies to iPhone. The I tried to convert movie took 4 hours to convert. . . dropped it into iTunes library like the other movies. . . on snyc - the message said "this is not available to play on the iPhone" or something like this version is not compatible with iPHone but I think I did the same settings as before??? What settings should I be using????? I tell it to record and place on desktop and then I drop the movie in iTunes and check box and sync.
Sorry to ramble on. Any suggestions? - Kurt

Never had problems with the iPhone/iPod Touch preset in the right column... and under the Format drop-down menu, select MP4.

BTW, what movie?
