Default Handbrake Difficulties.....

I used handbrake to convert a dvd to mp4, but for some reason when it was done it was only 5 min. long and had a really messed up image. I'm using a pc and followed all the instructions I found in the forums for it but it still didn't work. Anybody have any suggestions?

I use XviD4PSP 5. It has a nice Vista interface, works like a dream and free. You can also encode up to 720 horizontal resolution in whatever ratio. It comes with presets for every handheld device in the wild.

I've had a few problems like that too, but on a Mac and it seems to be specific to the DVDs I was ripping. Most work fine, but there are some where it only gets a couple of minutes. I wonder if it's something about copy protection on those disks.
