Does Handbrake crash anyone else's mac?
happens to me ALL THE TIME if i'm multitasking, but if i let it go overnight, it works ok. starting to get really annoying. Haven't quite narrowed it down much beyond that.
too bad, because i really like the features.

nope, haven't experienced this at all. have you tried uninstalling it and then re-installing? hope you find out what's causing this - i really like handbrake and find it incredibly useful...

Try this link to diagnose and troubleshoot. Looks like in fact you are having a kernel panic. There could be a number of causes including hardware as well as software. Try the guidance and report back what happens. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106227 |

yeah... would you say it's safe to send reports to apple about this?
since ripping my DVDs is technically illegal, i haven't been doing that.

I actually narrowed it down to a particular USB device causing the crashes... Or, more accurately, the combination of that and handbrake.
