I basing it off burning a movie on a pc. I had a friend who also burned movies in 30-1hour

what form was the video in previously?
if it was an image of another DVD, then there's no coding or encoding involved... only writing the data to the disc. if you asked your friend to make a playable DVD from an .mp4, i bet it would take him much longer.

Yeah i saw writing a data disc takes like 5min.
