unless of course your work relies on web apps for just about everything, and having a portable web enabled smart phone makes life easier... hee hee...

Since they added Enterprise to the SDK, a lot of big companies are going to start making apps for the iPhone and only their users would get the apps. More secure than web apps.
But I think that market is still cornered by BB so Im not sure how many companies are going to buy into that.

So ldivinag, what kind of web apps does your company rely on?

They're different ballgames entirely. Writing a web app is little more than some Javascript, HTML, and CSS trickery catered specifically to the iPhone.

Hackintosh'll do. Just make sure you have a lot of free time and a spare hard drive you're not using for anything else.

Actually someone is porting it at the moment. I don't know how this is going to work because the SDK relies on some frameworks that windows doesn't have but this guy seems determined so we should have faith. He estimates it to be released in about 6 months but he's looking for beta testers up until September 30th. Here's his blog http://wisdk.tumblr.com/

That seems like it's more for jailbreak software development... Pretty interesting, though. But it sounds like it could get stomped out by Apple if they're not quick to release something that explodes to success fast enough.

yeh, it's just for creating apps for jailbroken devices but that could be a good thing, it gives you more freedom. Hope I get picked as a beta tester anyway
