I have a range of loan calculators I want to make available as iphone software.
They are in Flash available on the web but dont know how to go about converting them to iPhone software.
I'm a software developer. I can help with suggestions, but I don't have extra time to sign on to a project.
I'm assuming you want to convert the Flash applications to native iPhone apps. (e.g. it doesn't run on the web)
Suggestions:
- There are places where you can ask for programmers to bid on your project. Rent a coder and elance.com come to mind. I haven't used either one, but I heard it works for some people.
- If you can't find programmers who specifically make iPhone apps, look for programmers who know ActionScript and Objective-C. Those are the programming languages they'll need to work with.
- There are iPhone developer forums else where on the web (as I'm sure you know). I'm sure they could help you out further.
- Be careful with licensing agreements. If the programmer you hire reuses GPL software then you may run into issues. Just make sure whatever work they do for you will be completely owned by you.
I would suggest that instead of trying to "convert" them that you start over with a new design for mobile devices. (Your project seems simple enough to do that) I'd help out, but sadly I haven't gotten the chance to really work with the SDK yet.
