Is it possible to allow the "home" button to answer a call?

OK maybe I am just weird, but I would love it if I could press the home button to answer a call. Sometimes when I am driving, or holding things in my hands etc., it can be hard to do the slide to answer thing, I would love if I could press the home button to answer calls sometimes. Is this even possible?

Being hard to use while driving is probably why they outlawed driving while using phones in CA...I dunno, just a thought.

Yah. Driving while using iPhones might be legal if it weren't for that damn "Slide to Answer" feature.

If you don't want to get a hands free bluetooth car kit, you can use a tap to answer (jailbroken only).

Thanks. I'm aware of that tweak, however I'm afraid that "tap to answer" would be triggered too easily when the phone is in a pocket or bag. Maybe I'll give it a try.

I've never had it accidentally answer a call I didn't want to take while it was in my pocket or purse or anything.

I have a wired headset that I really like and it just has a button on it that I press. Pretty simple.

    what's odd...

is that a device, who's name has the word PHONE in it, makes it hard to actually use the device primarily AS A phone.

so yes... word to APPLE: make the home button as a user programmable button to answer phones...
